About

Moataz Alaa Eldin is a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in HVAC systems with a decade of experience in mega projects across the Middle East and Egypt. Currently serving at White Space Architects (WSA), he facilitates cross-office coordination between Dubai, Amsterdam, and Cairo, and leads the design and management of HVAC projects, particularly in healthcare facilities. Prior to this, Moataz spent nine years at Shaker Consultancy Group (SCG) where he worked on major hospitals such as Riyadh and Jeddah Special Forces Medical Cities (each 2500 beds) and significant infrastructure projects like Greater Cairo Metro Line 4.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Power Engineering from Ain Shams University, where his graduation project focused on CFD-based design and simulation of wind turbine blades for dusty environments. Moataz is certified as an ASHRAE Healthcare Facility Design Professional (HFDP), Project Management Professional (PMP), and PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP), reflecting his combined expertise in technical design and project management.

Beyond his engineering career, Moataz is an active IEEE volunteer, currently serving as Chairman of IEEE Young Professionals Egypt. His previous roles include Vice Chairman and Treasurer within the same affinity group, in addition to years of engagement with the Egyptian Engineering Day and Flux Egypt teams. He has published in ASME Turbo Expo on the effects of dust contamination on wind turbine airfoils and remains committed to technical excellence, mentorship, and impactful engineering solutions.
